Building Inspector’s Hours
The Township Building Inspector, Joe Wickey is available by appointment. If you are in need of an appointment you may call the township office, 269-483-7043. Joe will also have regular Friday morning office hours, 9am-10am.
Sheds
You must get zoning approval before setting a pre-built or building a storage shed on your property. If the storage shed is more than 200 square feet you must get zoning approval and a building permit. All buildings must meet setbacks and Michigan Building Codes. If you have any general questions please contact the Township Office.
Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)
If a check is returned to the township due to NSF a $30.00 fee will be charged to you. If we receive from you a second check with NSF you will no longer be allowed to pay by check. Any money owed to our township will have to then be paid by cash, bank check or money order. This goes for tax payments as well. If a tax payment check is returned due to NSF you will have to pay the original tax amount, any late fee and the $30.00 NSF fee.
Dump Pass Policy
Each year a resident or property owner of White Pigeon Township may obtain from the Township office during regular business hours, one dump pass to be used at the convenience of the holder. Once the pass is obtained, the pass must be used within (30 days). Each pass will allow the holder, at no charge, two yards of waste, comparable to one pick-up size load of waste, to the Waste Management dumping site located 14094 M-60, Three Rivers. The pass holder will be responsible for any cost over the two yard limit. No disposal of refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioners, or dehumidifiers. No tractor or truck tires allowed! Two regular tires, or one tire and one appliance, or two appliances will be allowed. No paint, oil, or yard waste (grass/leaves).

Passes are NOT to be used for COMMERCIAL or BUSINESS related disposal.
